New trend in glamour is the pink eye

It all started at the Golden Globes 2017. Pink eye is not something that you would associate with glamour. Hollywood's second most important ceremony had the glamorous celebrities show off their finest apparel and makeup. They hit the red carpet last year with a different beauty vibe.

Welcome pinky-hued eyes to the seats of glamour and style.  This trend was the rage at the 2017 Golden Globes.  The pink color around the eyes, far from having the celebs look like they had an infection, actually made their faces glow.

Correctly applied, the pink eye trend is one that will highlight eyes dramatically. Some celebrities that really killed it at the ceremony with their pink eyes were Lilly Collins, Emma Stone, Olivia Culpo, and Karrueche Tran.  One common denominator in the look of these glam ladies was the use of mascara.

The obsession for the pink hue around the eyes responds to the fact that the color is flattering and it provides an effective way of brightening the eyes.  The pink shade is virtually a highlighter bringing all the attention to the eyes, which are helped out by mascara.

The easiest way to go with this trend is to sweep a rose gold shine on the eyelids. A muted rose lipstick can be used to double up the hue. Applying this with a brush will help distribute the color evenly around the eyes.

The shades of pink can vary and will usually be an individual’s choice. The entire look with the pink eye can be complemented using the same products for the lips, shadow, and blush.
