Some Of The Benefits of Whole Foods

Although fortified foods are being extensively promoted as the major health supplements, the nutrition experts all over the world cannot deny the fact that fresh whole foods are way better than the synthetically fortified food items. In the same way, the synthetic supplements can never be equal the benefits of the natural vitamins present in the whole foods.

The experts are divided between what food one should eat and one should avoid for a healthy life. However, there is one thing that every nutritionist and dietitian will tell you; regardless of the type of food you eat and the ratios in which you consume them, the whole foods will always be far beneficial than the refined and processed foods.

The synthetic vitamin supplements that are available over the counter do not contain some of the essential micro nutrients which are naturally found in abundant quantities in the whole foods. Depending heavily on them does not only cause micro nutrient deficiency, it can also result in certain bodily imbalances. While they may be treated as drugs, they will never be able to provide for the micro nutrients the way whole food will do.

Fortified food items are nothing but sort of processed foods that contain doses of artificial minerals and vitamins. Unfortunately, they are not natural and hence they cannot parallel the natural foods. So if you are concerned about the vitamin and mineral deficiencies, then instead of resorting to the synthetic supplements, fill your diet with the natural food items includes whole grains, cereals, fresh vegetables, and fruits.
